Interested in becoming a taxi driver?

Taxi Driving can be a very rewarding and successful career. More than just a job, drivers are paid cash at the end of each shift and enjoy the benefits of independence and flexible hours. Subject to the company’s code of conduct, drivers are their own boss.

In order to drive for Black & White (Quick Service) Taxis Ltd, you need to obtain a “Driver Authorisation” which is issued by Queensland Transport. To apply you will need:

• a current drivers licence, held continuously for at least the last three (3) years.
• to be in good health
• a good grasp of the English language
• to have an acceptable driving and criminal history
• to successfully complete the “Taxicare Driver Training Course”

The “Taxicare Driver Training Course” is conducted in house by Black & White and includes:

• Car equipment
• Radio and job dispatch procedures.
• Company rules
• Queensland Transport regulations
• Customer service
• Security and safety procedures
